Thomas agrees to hearing on ammo BGCs
After Sonia Sotomayor declined to hear a challenge to the ammunition background check, Clarence Thomas has agreed to a conference hearing on the matter on October 6.
The Governor is not happy:
Justice Clarence Thomas just granted a request for an emergency conference in a case trying to dismantle our concealed carry law.
I know the far-right is focused on placating the MAGA extremists. I'm focused on protecting New Yorkers.

I am inclined to think that SCOTUS will let this play out for awhile longer, but if they did intervene I wouldn’t be totally surprised either.
Shameless self promotion
Some light political theater
Murphy gets screwed
I have been told that State Supreme Court Judge J. Emmett Murphy was denied an ammo purchase.

Office of Gun Violence Prevention
MSN reports:
“President Joe Biden is creating a White House office dedicated to gun violence prevention, according to people familiar with the matter, amid calls from activists to do more to address the issue in lieu of congressional action. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are expected to announce the establishment of the new office at a White House ceremony …”
Biden can’t move an agenda through Congress so I’ll take a stab and say the primary focus of this new office will be to funnel money to various leftist urban community groups who will in turn back Democrat politicians at election time. That fits with what Everytown had been lobbying on.
