Adams, Everytown call for ATF action

Mayor Eric Adams, acting as a proxy for Everytown, has sent a letter to the ATF asking they revoke the FFL of Polymer80.

From the presser:

“… “We must get ghost guns out of our communities, and those that manufacture them must be shut down,” said Mayor Adams. “Polymer80’s entire business operation presents a clear and present danger to public safety through New York and the entire country — not only selling guns, but also marketing an entire lifestyle brand that celebrates violence and lawlessness. As mayor of the largest city in America, a former police officer, and co-chair of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, I have a message for Polymer80: We will not surrender our city to a violent few. No one is above the law. And the law is coming for you.” …”

The City prohibited them in 2019 and the state followed suit in 2021 (here, here and here.)

NYAGV gets a huge payout

Gun control advocates will get a huge payout from the state according to this press release from the Governor:

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced more than $6.3 million in federal funding that will allow seven programs in Brooklyn and Manhattan and Albany, Erie and Onondaga counties to expand their anti-gun violence work and increase critical services for victims and families. Administered by the New York State Office of Victim Services, the two-year grants will fund outreach staff to connect with victims and families, crisis responders, licensed social workers and other staff, as well as training, equipment and emergency funding for essential items such as clothing, housing and transportation expenses … Governor Hochul’s extension of Executive Order 211 allowed the Office of Victim Services to streamline its application process and work directly with programs interested in obtaining the funding. The following organizations will receive $6.36 million over two years: … New Yorkers Against Gun Violence (Manhattan): $580,000 … Office of Victim Services staff continue to work with other programs eligible for Community Violence Intervention Act funding and the agency is slated to award additional grants … New Yorkers Against Gun Violence are receiving OVS grants for the first time …”

Won’t see that for guns

Democrats are shitting themselves over the likelihood that their beloved Roe v. Wade is going to be undone by the Court.

With SCOTUS getting ready to drop a major gun rights decision soon I guarantee there won’t be anything remotely like the reaction with abortion. There will be no rallies, no marching by the antis. Some stupid pressers by a few electeds and moronic op-eds like this and that will be it.

Lt. Governor Antonio Delgado

Through some sleazy legislation, Governor Kathy Hochul has replaced Brain Benjamin as her Lt. Governor and replaced him with Congressman Antonio Delgado.

He is not supportive of 2A rights. Some examples:

So his appointment does not make anything bettor or worse for the gubernatorial ticket.

I believe his abandoning his Congressional seat puts Marc Molinaro in a much better position to claim it for the GOP. His record on guns has been generally supportive, but after his ’18 gubernatorial run I would not trust him.
