A-6762B, Relates to the dangers to the safety and health of the public caused by the sale, manufacturing, importing and marketing of firearms, has been amended and resubmitted to Assembly Codes. Companion S-7196 has been introduced to Senate Rules.

The last scheduled session day is Thursday. I believe the legislature will pass these bills before recess.

“Ghost guns” bills A-613A and A-2666A passed the Assembly. Both passed the Senate last week. They now go to the Governor for signing.

The legislative session is scheduled to end on the 10th. Here is some of what we can look forward to:

The bill is under consideration in the final days of the session after lawmakers have recently sought to crack down on a range of illegal firearms in New York, including firearms printed using 3-D technology and a bill meant to restrict the flow of weapons lacking serial numbers …”
