Protecting Cuomo’s image

As a follow-up to my earlier post on Tom Suozzi’s attempts to inject guns into the Nassau County Executive race, the NYS Democrat Committee has done a mailing attacking Ed Mangano on the issue.  Given Mangano really hasn’t done anything on the issue the only reason I can see them doing this is to try and protect Governor Cuomo’s image.

Some media pundits are trying to make the Westchester County Executive’s race into a referendum on the SAFE Act.  I’m guessing Cuomo’s people see it that way too in Nassau.

If gun control is so popular downstate then it makes sense to highlight the issue in these races.  But if is is so popular, then why doesn’t Cuomo’s own campaign website list SAFE under his “Record of Success”?

  2. All the anti-gun crap coming out of bramson has really motivated me to make sure to vote for astorino. I’m getting bombarded with bramson’s crap. It concerns me how little I have seen from astorino.

  3. Emperor Cuomo II knows his votes will only come from the 5 boroughs, Long Island, Albany & possibly Erie county. He has to fight for the northern NYC suburbs, so any devious scheme he & his minions can concoct will be unleashed on any of his perceived foes.

  7. Unsafe is not even in his fine print of “further accomplishments”, I know because I went there and searched. I thought it was his ‘SIGNITURE ACCOMPLISHMENT”? LOL!!!! But it is my belief that our big problem is now the Repubs, both locally and nationally. THEY ARE A FUCKING CATASTROPHIE! If Boehner had an ounce of integrity, after this last cluster fuck, he would step down now. But he won’t. And given our dissatisfaction with Skelos et. all, WHY DID WE NOT EVEN HAVE A PRIMARY HERE (at least in Nassau we did not)? Look at the map of NY counties that have passed resolutions of condemnation against unsafe, and ask if primaries would have been reasonable. It is incestuous and corrupt, and I believe those are a kind description!
