MAIG admits the real agenda

A MAIG mouthpiece admits the real agenda:

“The director of a major gun-control advocacy group co-chaired by New York City Mayor Michael I. Bloomberg said Wednesday that securing background checks for all gun sales is their top priority, saying that it’s the biggest problem “and also the thing that we can probably do.” …”

This is the same thing Schumer said a couple of weeks back.  The antis know that Feinstein’s semi-auto and magazine prohibition bill isn’t going anywhere, but they’re talking it up to get gunnies all upset.  After awhile, they’re going to back off, hoping fool our side by offering a compromise: universal background checks.  That sounds reasonable.  What it means is prohibiting private transfers.  Our side gives up something and they give up nothing.  No deal.

  1. To repeat what I said at PagunBlog about this:

Their real goal is to remove guns from everyone except the police and military.

Their strategy is to crank the ratchet one regulation at a time.

For our part, until they no longer control politics, media, and culture, we need to thwart every single step they attempt.

No give, no yield, no compromise. Anywhere.

  2. So offer them a compromise.

Until they are going to give up something, they are not compromising. They are taking. Read the link above and then offer them that compromise. When they shriek like a vampire facing a cross, you’ll know how much actual compromising they plan on doing.

The other thing we need to do is deny MAIG a clean “Universal Background Check” bill. We want them to lard the bill up with “AW” bans and standard capacity magazine bans. We want every awful thing possible on the bill so that none of the Republicans (except Mark Kirk) and only the committed Dems from safe seats vote for it. Don’t allow them to bring a “compromise” bill to the floor. Make them try to pass their DiFi abomination and watch the whole thing burn.

  3. I believe Wayne made a mistake when he stated the case against universal background checks as being useless because crimminals would not be subject to them. The real issue is that its more a universal registration scheme than a universal background check. The case is really that any registration defeats the funadamental purpose of the second amendment as a final safeguard against the emergence of despotism. We must not shy away from making this case. The left makes a joke out of this, but I’m sure my grandparents as well as millions of others thought that a holocaust was preposterous until they ended up in gas chambers.
