A ban on private transfers would be utterly unenforceable without universal registration. If they can require all transfers go through an FFL, then the next step that they will be howling for, will be to “plug” the “registration loophole” to make the private transfer ban “work”.
Once they have most guns registered, they can ban and confiscate guns as they please. That’s why they call themselves “progressives”. They mean to progressively eliminate the Second Amendment, as they march us down the road to a totalitarian state, by eliminating one “loophole“ after another, because the Second Amendment itself is a “loophole” to these people.
In New York, they’re already marching gun owners down the road of their Second Amendment Death March. We need to turn this around, before it’s too late.
