The Journal News has caved to public pressure and removed their map of pistol license holders from their website.

Editor Janet Hasson claims this was done to comply with the new Cuomo gun law:

 “… While the new law does not require us to remove the data, we believe that doing so complies with its spirit …”

Bullshit.  And I mean literally:

“Police say someone mailed fecal matter to the home of an editor for a New York newspaper that has published the names and addresses of handgun owners … the package was sent to a Journal News employee. The newspaper identified her as CynDee Royle, who’s editor and vice president/news …”
