Romney-Ryan

Mitt Romney chose Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate.

I don’t think the pick does anything to diminish Romney’s campaign and should help make the ticket more palatable to special interests (gun owners) concerned about Romney’s record. Ryan has a pro-gun record in Congress.

  1. Ryan now dominates the conversation. He’s the foremost champion of the political right, and the one who one who makes the political left the most nervous. He scares the hell out of them because he’s genuinely smart. Their standard tactic of ridiculing people on the right as stupid doesn’t work with Ryan. Romney, Obama and Biden are lesser intellects who are less interesting. At least for now, the world wants to know what Paul Ryan has to say – he’s the man in the know on the most important issue of our times – America’s fiscal future. It’s an insult to him that he has to contend against the likes of a bumbling idiot hack like Biden who can’t even keep his own foot out of his mouth, but Paul Ryan can overcome that and lead his ticket to victory. It can happen. Maybe Romney’s not so bad – he chose Paul Ryan.

  2. “GUNS: Ryan has consistently voted against efforts to toughen gun control laws and received an “A” letter grade from the National Rifle Association.”

That should read: “GUNS: Ryan has consistently voted against efforts to weaken Second Amendment rights and received an “A” letter grade from the National Rifle Association.”

They write like Soviet communists at the Daily News, don’t they? Might as well be what Pravda was like back then. Even Pravda is more honest than the Daily News these days.
