David Berkowitz, gun control advocate

I would have thought that the antis were scrapping the bottom when they trotted out Eliot Spitzer, but Oh, no.  Their latest spokesman is “Son of Sam” David Berkowtiz:

“David Berkowitz, who shot and killed six people during a yearlong spree in New York City in the 1970s, says “society has to take the glory out of guns.” … “I’m looking beyond gun control.  That’s for the legislators to wrangle with,” Berkowitz, 59, said.  “My hope is just that young people would understand just how terrible this violence is.  When they use a gun against someone else, they ruin their lives too.  It’s not worth it.” …”

This coming from the guy who murdered six people and wounded several more because he claimed his neighbor’s dog told him to.

  1. Berkowitz is trying to make the world safe for his fellow serial killers. If one of his intended victims had been able to shoot him dead on his first attempt that would have been the end of him. Thanks to New York City’s gun control laws, that was not possible. The Sullivan Law did not disarm David Berkowitz, but it did disarm his law-abiding victims. Bloomberg’s New York City is a serial killer’s paradise of disarmed and defenseless victims waiting to happen, because gun control laws empower criminals against the rest of us. I hope that that will be changing.
