That’s the average number of intended targets the NYPD missed over the past 10 years.

Perhaps Mayor Bloomberg should spend more time looking into this as opposed to his MAIG efforts.

  2. There was a time when NYPD could handle anything that came along, with nothing more than a 6-shot, Smith & Wesson, .38 Special revolver, but now they have 17-shot Glocks and they can’t even shoot straight.
Given the inaccuracy of their fire, and their use of large capacity magazines, the NYPD is a greater hazard to New Yorkers than criminals with guns.
Given that the weapon of choice for NYC criminals is a .38 caliber revolver, there is no need for NYPD officers to have semiautomatic pistols with high capacity magazines. Their large magazines contribute to the delusional view that firepower can make up for poor accuracy. It doesn’t. They, and the public, would be better off if they went back to shooting straight with a .38.

  3. Actually, I believe they have Glock 19s, not Glock 17s.

Recall too they had to have them with the heavy “NY” and NY+” triggers, supposedly to help prevent ADs. Post says they had 323 during this period so this is another farce.

  4. Pretty sure its actually the glock 22 the the nypd uses as well as the detroit pd and baltimore pd.. I think.
