Im glad some of our representatives realise this bill needs to be looked at before voting on it. How can the legislature vote ses on a bill they were handed 20 minutes before voting? Thats not even enough time to read the 32 pages I just printed off, let alone make an informed decision about it. And what about what the people think? Shouldn’t the people of New York have a say in this?

There is no obligation that legislators read, much less understand, the bills they vote on.
There is also no obligation that legislators be competent or even sane.

Clearly they did not want us to have a say in this.
