I wonder how many first timers are part of the increase. Does NY track that stuff? Cause NJ doesn’t seem to, and I just go by what the local Firearms Dept people tell me down at the PD.
Licenses are renewable every 5 years on LI, so I don’t know if Newsday counted renewals or just new applicants. Elseware in the state licenses do not expire so the increase is in new applications.
