Laugh of the day fromĀ George Stephanopoulos:
“… Former New York Gov. George Pataki (R) is being urged by major Republican donors and the party apparatus in Washington to run against Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D) in 2010. While he has not made a final decision on a Senate run, Pataki has told at least one major GOP donor in private that he is not interested in becoming a senator at the age of 64 and would rather run for president in 2012 …”
Sadly, the bar has been lower significantly for qualified presidential candidates recently.
Does being tall alone qualify one to be President?
Pataki was out of touch and delusional as governor. Apparently, that condition has worsened substantially. He can babble about how he almost became president when he’s drooling on himself in a nursing home.
As for running for senate, he isn’t going to be a senator. Something about being despised across the political spectrum except for a few RINO elite, and then there’s his incompetence as well. Fail.
He was an empty suit as governor, and now he’s not even governor. He’s worse than nothing, less than zero.
