NYAGV is trying to get Maurice Hinchey to sign on to Carolyn McCarthy’s magazine prohibition bill H.R. 308: Some PSH from Jackie Hilly:

There is no reason for anyone living in a civil society to own one of these weapons, the sheer purpose of which is to inflict as much carnage as possible,” said Jackie Hilly, Executive Director of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence …”
Their previous attempts at getting co-sponsors has not gone well. Michael Grimm has thus far blown them off while Nan Hayworth is helping NRA with some of their bills.
Markie Marxist sez: “Of course, what we really mean is, ‘What further proof does Congressman Hinchey need before he realizes that our Marxist/warrior/hero/criminal/drug dealers deserve every possible protection from members of the public walking down the street in broad daylight with enough ammunition to protect themselves from every drug dealer on the block?’
It’s just a common communist sense measure to keep our criminal communities safe from law-abiding people, so that they can continue their work of destroying capitalism and bringing down America.
And, of course, from the Marxist perspective, there really is no reason for anyone living in a civil society to own one of these weapons, unless they work for us directly as a government agent, since the sheer purpose of them is to inflict as much carnage as possible, and we Marxists want to be the only ones who are able to do that, via government, of which, we expect to be in full control. All your carnage will belong to us! Ha! Ha!”
Hinchey did vote for the Clinton AWB back in ’94, so I would not be shocked if he signed onto HR 308. However, like most of Congress, I think he realizes that gun control is a loser issue and will probably ignore NYAGV.
