Sen. Espaillat must have gone crazy and lost his common communist sense! We always used to be able to count on New York politicians for relentless authoritarian oppression. They must be slipping. I mean, they aren’t taking that McDonald decision nonsense seriously, are they? That was just the US Supreme Court’s idea of a joke! We don’t have to pay any attention to that decision, do we?”
They can use this to kill the westchester case. That case, if we win, will make nyc fall in line and ditch “proper cause”. If they pass this before a ruling comes in, it will moot the case and nyc keeps its same ol’ shit while the rest of the state goes shall issue.
