Due to population outflow, New York is set to lose 2-3 Congressional seats in the next reapportionment.
Good news is Carolyn McCarthy’s seat could be one of them. The equally detestable Louise Slaughter’s seat is also on the chopping block.

Can the same stats that were used to lose federal “representation”
be used to lose some state level “representation” as well?
I’m not sure exactly. Back in the last redistricting they added a 62nd Senate seat. I don’t see any serious push to my the state legislature itself smaller.
