Background checks for ammunition purchases goes into effect today. From what I’ve been hearing it’s a dumpster fire. I have been told they want make, model and serial number plus other personal things like SSN with wait times upwards of 40 minutes to approve the sale.
Basspro in utica could only complete three ammo sales on Wednesday. The delays are hours long. Someone I know went there this morning, waited 2 hours before leaving. They said they would call him when the background check was complete. He still hasn’t recieved a call, 6 hours later.
