McConnell, GOP fire back at Dems over SCOTUS

Showing some spine, Mitch McConnell fired back at Democrats who tried to intimidate SCOTUS:

“U.S. Senate Republicans accused five Democratic colleagues of threatening the Supreme Court with political retribution in an extraordinary clash over what is set to be the court’s first case on gun rights in a decade. In a letter to the court that used language normally reserved for the political arena, the 53 Republicans said the Democrats were threatening to add additional justices to the court if it doesn’t drop the gun-rights case as moot. “The implication is as plain as day: Dismiss this case, or we’ll pack the court,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his 52 Republican colleagues said in the letter Thursday …”

Good for them.

Most of the time the only response Republicans give to Democrat attacks is silence.  Far too often they backtrack in a pathetic attempt to curry favor with a hostile media.

What McConnell ought to do now is schedule a vote on the Senate version of the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, S.69.
