Lawmakers push for gun control

Another dog-and-pony show at the Capitol today pushing the same bunch of bills announced earlier this month:

  1. I have a bad feeling that this time, SAFE ACT 2 is about to pass. I just dont see this getting stopped unfortunately

  2. SAFE wasn’t the worst idea. A few years before, when Dems first got control of the Senate, they were going to pass microstamping which would have stopped all sales of handguns. Reps were going to cave and were lying about it. I found out in time and killed the bill.

  3. I’ve been saying for 5 years that SAFE was small taters and wait for SAFE II cuz you aint seen nuthin’ yet. But to be honest, and call me a bastard FUD IDC, there really is no reason to have an AR..

I am a combat veteran and if ARs are such a great weapon for war, then why aren’t they using them?

I mean, they kill so effectively as the anti gunners say and tons of other reasons. I mean this should be a no brainer for the military to use them then right?

That being said, I feel they are not as deadly as as a 30-30 308 can have a higher caliber bullet as you know being a FUD. I would rather be shot by a AR than one of those other ones. Also, mass shooting can be done with a bolt action rifle. Just research the guy in the 60s who shot those students at the University of Texas with a bolt action rifle Charles Wittiman. Just saying

  5. I never said anything about weapon of war, or any of that talking point jazz. But where do we draw the line? How do we stop people from tearing up gay bars and schools? Admit it, a bolt action Mauser is a lot harder to rail 50 people in a gay bar with right?

How do you know, you’re speculating? Strange how you didn’t argue Wittman who did cause a mass shooting with a go,t action rifle. If the other guns do go away and people, resort to bolt action and can pull it off. Care to put money where the mouth is? I am willing to call your bluff.

In the end, there is nothing to adimit. The line is drawn by figuring why we have such a violent culture.

You really think that getting rid of certain guns is going to stop violence? Remember and I think you will admit to that. People have been killing people way before the gun and will continue after it’s gone

Sorry but the world can’t and won’t be all rainbows, unicorns and fuzzy bunnies.

Nothing can be done to stop violence, denial is hard to accept I know but we have to come back to reality here eventually.
