How far we’ve come

For reasons as yet unknown, a sniper shoots up a country music concert killing at least 59 and wounding 500+ on the Las Vegas strip.

Gun control advocates are overjoyed, once again thinking they can exploit this atrocity for political advantage:

In Westchester, George Latimer tries going after Rob Astorino for allowing gun shows at the County Center. Astorino’s team quickly fires back:

Disappointment quickly starts setting in for the antigunners:

Their blame game has not only failed, it backfired bigly:

“… House Republicans are on track to advance legislation easing firearms rules, including a package of bills backed by the National Rifle Assn. that would make it easier to purchase silencers …”

This just shows how far gun rights have come over the past 25 years since I first became involved in it. The gun control movement never enjoyed genuine public support and is now on the verge of total collapse. The pro-gun push-back from ordinary people against the antis, their political allies and media supporters has been amazing to watch. I would not have thought this would happen even 5-6 years ago.
