New Yorkers Against Gun Violence appears to be trying some sort of public relations stunt in the form of an op-ed, “SAFE Act protects public safety“, which has been circulated to several local newspapers in the western part of the state.
It won’t go over well with the public.

I read it. What they forget is that the average carnage in one of these rampages is about 10 or 12. They keep pointing to the 20 kids in Newtown, but the guy at Virginia Tech killed 30 with a plain Glock. All but forgotten as an inconvenient truth. She argues that the 10 round limit would have saved the last N to be killed, but then take that to its logical conclusion, and 5 would save more, 1 more yet, and with 0, nobody. That is their goal but who on this cite does not know that. But when only bad guys have a gun, the 2.5 million lives saved with a legal gun would have been lost. The fallicy in their belief is that if government bans all freedom and assumes absolute control, life will be perfect for all. Just look at the history of the utopian state, i.e. Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, Cube, North Korea,………………….
She points to Skretny as a “Republican appointed by Greorge HW Bush” but if u remember, he was a major RINO who wanted an AWB and banned importation of modern semi auto rifles by executive order. If u read Skretny’s opinion, it is also based on emotion rather than logic (i.e. the probability of your being killed in a mass shooting – u will be struck by lightning or eaten by a shark first) as the commies entered “evidence of how dangerous the rifle is by the aftermath of Newtown”. Are u kidding? Look at pictures of a machette masacre in an African village. Its crap. Its emotion. And thats what the left does. First Safe Act is just a backdoor for the U.N. to bring to life the Small Arms Treaty that Obama signed annd the U.S. Senate failed to ratify. In that treaty it calls for all smalls arms to be confiscated and that includes the ones own by police officers too. So this safe act is smoke screen to disarm America state by state.
2nd. Safe Act is so great why does cuomo have a 20 man security detail 24/7.
