Court finds fees are ok

The 2nd Circuit has rejected the NYSRPA/SAF lawsuit against the ridiculous fees New York City charges for firearms licenses.

Here is a link to the decision.

  1. Jacob….is this a sign of bad things to come, with the major lawsuit for the UNSAFE Act, they could still find that constitutional as well? Your thoughts on this…thanks

  2. The SAFE lawsuit is filed in federal court in Buffalo. This decision came from a NYC court.

  3. Thanks…………..Figures, NYS and NYC just playing the liberal hogwash that they are. I hope you guys roast them to hell in federal court and thank you Jacob for keeping us informed!

  4. Taken to extreme, could not the govt (any level anywhere) argue that in order to assure public safety, a background check over the applicants entire life by 10 investigators, a psychiatric eval by no less than 6 MDs, etc., etc are required in the issuance of the license, and thus, a fee of $100,000 is constitutional in that it does not exceed adm. costs? At what level do things become absurd? How does one place assure public safety with $10.00 of adm cost, but Bloomberg and the polit beureau need $340.00?

  5. Is there not a point where it is clear that the intent, by the adm. is beyond public safety, but rather, to specifically burden the right?

  6. Further thinkin, if you look at the issue of public safety entirely, compare venues with max restriction, ie commie NY (“the progressive capitol of the world”), Chicago, etc to min restriction places, the correlation is pretty much opposite from that intended. And this can be shown over a very long period of time, decades. So this whole fucking piece of shit licensing, registration, purchase docs, gun bans, etc IS A FRAUD WITH REGARD TO PUBLIC SAFETY and is ENTIRELY A BURDEN ON THE RIGHT AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE!
