  1. Seems to me that the people who are most likely to carry while drinking are state legislators. Because of their jobs, they’re vulnerable to being attacked and they have to do a lot of socializing with the public.
The idea that anyone who touches a drop of alcohol no longer deserves to live and therefore should be disarmed and made vulnerable to being attacked and possibly killed, is a bad idea. It’s pushed by the radical extremists at the Brady Center who already want to disarm every private citizen for any or no reason at all.

  2. This bill IS an issue.

    One example:
End of day in hunting cabin, trailer, or tent. Not their home. Common for friends to share a couple. I could easily envision EnCon checking for something like this. Especially on state land. Do you know any hunters who haven’t been given a rough time by EnCon? Even when they’re doing nothing wrong. Of course other possible scenarios exist as well.

Just another example of two NYC politicos shoving their agenda up our A.. We need to fight this bill and get a divorce from NYC and the urban agenda.

  3. Obama said that what works for Montana might not work for Chicago. I say what works for NYC doesn’t work for the rest of the state.

Let them go off on their own. Then they can do what ever they want without affecting us unless we’re passing through. They’re like a ball and chain around our necks. We have to cut the chains.

  4. With regard to Chas. comment about the State Legislators:

They can exempt themselves in similar fashion as does Congress when they don’t want to be bound by their own legislation, ie: Do as I say, not as I do.

  5. It’s not a law yet. Language can be changed. Biggest impediment to legislative exemption is appearance.

Nevertheless an exemption can be mitigated by language such as “while the legislature is in session.” Or “while conducting legislative business” (define that).

Perhaps there can be an exemption for when they’re “polling” the electorate.

  6. Part of what I wrote was meant to be humorous but some of it could actually come to fruition. Again appearance would be the biggest impediment to an exemption.

Your comment surprised me. I must have misjudged your experience (and intelligence).

  7. If passed:

    1. The DEC and other law enforcement agencies would
absolutely be enforcing it. No question.
    2. The legislature would likely NOT exempt themselves but
    COULD.

Which statement is stupid or paranoid?
