Largest gun rally ever

Approximately 12,000 people showed up for lobby day today.  Capitol Park was overflowing and people were waiting up to 1.5 hours to get into the Legislative Office Building.  It was the largest political gathering of gun owners anywhere.

Gov. Cuomo made it a point to be as far away from Capitol as he could be.  He was doing something on Long Island today.  However, there is no way he could have missed it with all the local and national media coverage it received.  It’s going to be hard for him and his media allies to keep saying the public overwhelmingly supports him on this issue.

  1. Glad to see such a strong turnout. The Albany Times Union purposely put photos of the event in their lead story attempting to portray sparse turnout. I expect nothing less from that rag.

  2. Some media outlet are deliberately downgrading it to 4-5K. It was obvious there was more than that.

  3. I was one of the 12,000. First time I’ve ever gotten involved but it won’t be the last. I was inspired by Ball, Katz and Marchione. I felt alone before today.

  4. What national coverage? I’ve only seen coverage by Albany/Syracuse/Rochester. Not a peep outa main stream national media.

  5. It was a big rally. I got there a little after 2 p.m. There were so many people that the West end of the park was turned to mud. The speakers were so loud that they could be heard in the state buildings that surround the park. People in the adjacent buildings couldn’t help but notice, and they did notice. The event made an impact, and it was a big impact.

  6. @Admin: Excellent. As I write the only media reporting event are Rochester-Syracuse-Albany media outlets. Not a peep so far from main stream national media aside from what you saw on CNN and Wall St J.

The anti-gun bias is obvious and disgusting.
