NYSRPA & SAF file lawsuit against NYC

What everybody has been waiting for:  NYSRPA files lawsuit against NYC over pistol license fees and SAF Files Federal Lawsuit Against Bloomberg Over Gun Permit Fees.

Mayor Bloomberg could see this one coming and he’s worried:  … “We want to be in compliance with the law…so that we don’t want to lose the ability to have reasonable controls. If we have controls that the courts have ruled too onerous or too unfair, we could lose the whole thing,” Bloomberg said …

    Bloomberg is a little late. New York City lost the ability to have controls that could be called “reasonable” in 1911 with the Sullivan Law.
    Turning free citizens into serfs, who must beg their lords for permission to be armed, is not reasonable, at least not by the high standards for freedom that we have in America.
    Freedom is a birthright, not a privilege that must be requested with all the numerous, bureaucratic details that attend that request, not to mention the lengthy wait.
