Congresswoman Elise Stefanik announced she is dropping out of the governor’s race and will not seek reelection to Congress.
Good riddance. Her campaign was laughably bad.
Roughly 3/4 of the population lives in Albany and south with 2/3 south of I-84. She made one appearance in Dutchess prior to officially announcing her campaign and one appearance in Rockland after. You cannot win by refusing to campaign where the voters actually live.
Jacob, who now? I feel like I’m a pilot approaching the runway, IFR, and I need guidance from the ground because I’m flying blind. Yeah, I know, it’s likely a scramble among us on the right, to repair the unanticipated damage, and no one knows what the outcome will be, but since Stefanik has failed like a flat tire, we’re going to need somebody. Like when the pilots report that deranged, terrorist passengers are shooting up the plane on the runway and ATC ever so calmly responds, “We’ll send somebody out”. Jacob, Sir, might you send somebody out, Sir? We need that. Now. Sir.
Blakeman. There is no other viable alternative.
