Give it a rest already. His presidential bid was a farce and his bid to take over the NYGOP flopped. People do not want him.
“… The GOP’s pitch to Giuliani is expected to include the claim that the party’s only hope for a resurgence in New York is to pick up several “secondary” statewide offices, such as senator and state comptroller … Polls have repeatedly shown Giuliani … to be the Republicans’ strongest potential statewide contender for governor …”
And that’s not saying much.
The state GOP’s only real hope for a resurgence is to dump the RINOs, party hacks and politicians who ran the party into the ground in the first place including Rudy, Pataki, Mondello, etc. Good things will not happen for the NYGOP until these people are purged. After that the reformation can begin.
OK. Who do you suggest? Need a correct, not necessarily fast answer.
The only other fresh name I can think of off hand that was mentioned relatively recently for statewide office is Erie Co. Exec. Chris Collins. He joined Bloomberg’s sister group County Execs. Against Guns.

No, just his the only other fresh name to have come up. John Faso made noise about running for Comptroller again, but I think his time has passed.

Pat Accampora the Public Service Commissioner is or at least was on our side but she already has a job.
It’s a sad state of affairs for the Replican Party in NY. Believe our best hope is to try to win Democrats over to our way of thinking.
Greg is running for Congress. Accampora earned her F rating.
Wow. Didn’t know Pat was an F. I used to speak with her on the phone many years ago. Think she was in the Assembly at the time. Was definitely on our side then.
