Gun rights have prevailed!
SCOTUS has ruled the 2nd Amendment has been incorporated to the states in the McDonald v. Chicago case. Years from now this will be looked upon as one of the great civil rights victories.

Bottom line: “Court of Appeals is reversed, and the case is remanded for further proceedings.”
I am very disappointed that the court did not give any guidance on how the 7th Circuit should rule. Given that the 7th ruled against the 2nd amendment, the 7th can rule that the ban is illegal but then allow unlimited regulations to restrict and limit that gun ownership.
This ruling will reverse the basis of current NY law that the ability to own a pistol is a privilege, not a right.
