Regret

The NRA is probably starting to regret the decision to endorse The Donald:

“… “Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish the Second Amendment,” Trump said during a rally in North Carolina on Tuesday.  “By the way, and if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.” …”

I don’t believe Trump wants to encourage violence against Clinton, however his poor choice of words makes it easy to see why some people are upset over these remarks.

If this were simply a gaff I’d just write it off, but Trump keeps on doing stupid shit like this when there is lots and lots in Clinton’s past, policies and position statements, that could easily be used against her.

Now he’s trying to spin the uproar as media bias:

“… “Media desperate to distract from Clinton’s anti-2A stance,” he said on Twitter Tuesday evening. “I said pro-2A citizens must organize and get out vote to save our Constitution!” …”

No, that is not what you said.  If that is what you meant you could have said something like this:

“Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish the Second Amendment if she gets to pick her judges.  That won’t happen if Second Amendment people turn out and vote for me in November.”

Was this hard?  No.

Here’s my offer to the Trump campaign:  Hire me and I’ll be your point man on gun issues.  Just pay in cash, no checks or Trump steaks.

  1. Firstly, he cant help himself. Second, this is how he “wins friends and influences people”. He taps into his targets fears and commensurate hatreds and blurts out something that he knows will resonate with what is in any human beings “Id” (A Freudian term for our most basic urges before being moderated by the ego, the thing that makes for a rational human). The target then loves him as one who understands, runs to their defense and says / does what they wish they had the balls to. Problem is that this will work great for a small group with common interest. Interesting to appreciate his mastery of human manipulation to have made his fortune. But not flying for the general electorate. I believe he is finished. Billery is laughing their balls off. Both of them. Hers are bigger.

  2. Our only hope is that she fucks up so bad that it cannot be set aside. Unfortunately I believe that the corruption is, at this point, is absolute, and nothing can meet that standard.

  3. Maybe, Admin, Maybe.

My attention is taken by how Liberal Dems and a bias media have gone total snake, anti-2A and anti-gunner…and visibly so for the last three-days and likely for the week’s balance. I can’t imagine a better sight and event to sober Gunners to vote this election.

Looking st it this way, sorta a clever trap set by T. to motivate the 2A’ers and Gunners.

    ….Neat to see Clinton-istas squirm. 🙂

  4. I dunno, I think there is a silent majority out there that will vote Donald because there is no one else to vote for. I can stay home or I can throw away my vote to an indie candidate by way of protest or I can vote Donald. I don’t tell any friends or family to avoid conflict however I know the vast majority of my friends and family will vote for him as he is, at this time, the only valid choice. An honestly, as a gun owner, I didn’t find his comments all that scary or offensive. I think they’re pretty valid on many levels.

  5. I tend to agree with Randy. If only Trump would stay with the issues and not go off the rails every other day I would feel a lot better about his chances. With all of the ammunition Clinton has given him and he does not take advantage of using it.I feel that we will know for sure in the next few weeks if he can survive to November of not.If he does then perhaps we the American people can show the elites in both parties that they are toast.
