According to this article in the Post, Chuck Schumer is set to become Senate Democrat Leader when the 115th Congress convenes next January.
Hopefully he will be Minority Leader, not Majority Leader, next year. Stupidity surrounding The Donald may have put Congressional control in play.
Seminal moment was a Trump supporter being confronted by Ted Cruz (in a news clip). Trump supporter shouts at Ted “second amendment”. Ted walked over there, and in a nice tone being the gentleman he is, explained that Trump, at one time supported a ban on modern rifles. “I [Ted] am a life long fighter for the second amendment and have gone to the supreme court to argue cases in support of the second amendment.” The trump guy’s response? Holding his Trump sign up and shouting “Trump!!!!” Says it all! Totally fucking hopeless.
