SAFE legal update

Some more paperwork has been filed by our side in response to the State’s response to the initial filing:

Both sides are next due in court on September 12.

  1. Is there an abbreviated version that can outline the outlook for us? I understand we are back in court on 9/12 but how is our case shaping up overall?

  2. Tyler, it looks good for our side but until a few weeks rolls in, your at the edge of the seat till then!

  6. Ok, let me start by saying I am NOT a legal scholar . . . . But in my opinion these documents outline irrefutable arguments that EVEN an anti 2A judiciary would find difficult to strike down. Unfortunately for us all there are plenty of Anti 2A judges to choose from to attempt it. My guess is they will find a way to pass the buck to someone else. . . Until AFTER the next election cycle.

  7. It’s just like I’ve said all along, the state thought they saw a hole in the Heller case based on one little line in part of the decision. Now, NYS and a host of others are trying to slither through that hole with all kinds of new restrictions. It’s like kids throwing cow pies against the wall and seeing if one of them will stick. The responses you guys have submitted in court look excellent, great job! But, to be honest, I’ll breath a whole lot easier when the District court sides with us.
