Too soon for an endorsement

GOA has endorsed Ted Cruz:

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas has received the endorsement of Gun Owners of America, a national Second Amendment advocacy group, in his bid for the presidency of the United States. “We need a stalwart defender of the Second Amendment in the White House, and Ted Cruz will help shoulder the burden of fighting against the gun grabbers dedicated to eviscerating the Second Amendment,” the organization’s chairman Tim Macy said …”

I like Cruz, but it is way too soon for an endorsement.  He’s got to show he has the ability to put together a national campaign and raise a boatload of cash first.

  1. I don’t like Trump because he’s a loudmouth bullying thug from New York who could easily turn against gun owners.
Ted Cruz is ideologically with us. Anybody who is cool with cooking bacon on a machine gun barrel is down with the Second Amendment and is one of us. Ted Cruz is a Harvard graduate who knows how to be a man of the people, and is one of us.
Does Ted Cruz deserve a term as POTUS? Yes, he does. Very much so.

  2. Cruz needs to raise a boatload of cash first? He has raised the most real money of any candidate so far. He’s got the cash and the ideas already.

  3. I know he was leading early on, but I think Jeb passed him.

In any event, the candidate will need something like 400-500 million for the general election.
