Hardwick<\/a> said Monday he is weighing a Republican primary challenge to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/senator\/mark-grisanti\" target=\"_blank\">State Sen. Mark J. Grisanti<\/a>, a move that raises major questions about the incumbent\u2019s ability to gain the local GOP endorsement for re-election this year. \u00a0Hardwick &#8230; said Grisanti\u2019s \u201cterrible vote\u201d on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0gun control law could render him vulnerable in a primary already being threatened by fellow Republican Kevin T. Stocker of Kenmore &#8230; He also raised the possibility that Grisanti\u2019s vote in favor of Cuomo\u2019s SAFE Act poses a major obstacle to local Republicans even granting their endorsement this year &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Probably should have thought about this before voting. \u00a0This is what happens when you ram bills though without time for public comment.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecgop.com\" target=\"_blank\">Erie County Republican Chairman Nicholas A. Langworthy<\/a> said Monday he met with Grisanti last week and was assured the senator will not pursue the Democratic line. \u00a0But Langworthy said Grisanti continues to be criticized for his SAFE Act vote, as recently as at a party roundtable meeting in Kenmore on Saturday. \u00a0&#8220;The SAFE Act is something that will not go away, and something the base of the party is still worked up about,\u201d he said. \u201cSo am I.\u201d &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Talk is cheap. \u00a0Back this up by denying the party nomination to Grisanti.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; Meanwhile, <a href=\"http:\/\/eriecountyconservatives.org\" target=\"_blank\">Erie County Conservative Chairman Ralph C.
