Andrew Cuomo<\/a> on Thursday invited <a href=\"http:\/\/townofgeddes.com\" target=\"_blank\">Geddes Supervisor Manny Falcone<\/a> to bring a small group of gun owners to Albany to talk about the NY Safe Act.\u00a0 Falcone opposes the state&#8217;s new gun laws, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/news\/index.ssf\/2014\/01\/geddes_supervisor_falcone_cuomo_visit_was_about_economic_development_not_time_to.html\" target=\"_blank\">set his opinions aside Wednesday<\/a> when Cuomo came to announce $100 million investment of public dollars in an amphitheater and other major improvements to the town and village of Solvay &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Why didn&#8217;t the Governor bother to do this <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">before<\/span> passing SAFE?\u00a0 Because he thought he was on the winning side of the issue.\u00a0 Oops.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; Cuomo invited Falcone to bring a small group of gun rights advocates to sit down with him in Albany &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysrpa.org\" target=\"_blank\">NYSRPA&#8217;s<\/a> office is literally <a href=\"http:\/\/binged.it\/1keBWm4\" target=\"_blank\">right across the street<\/a> from the Legislative Office Building.\u00a0 Why hasn&#8217;t he called us?\u00a0 Because we&#8217;ll tell him things he does not want to hear.\u00a0 Plus, I know why he is doing this and it is not out of the goodness of his heart.<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks back Cuomo announced his support for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.outdoornews.com\/January-2014\/Cuomo-budget-to-include-crossbow\/\" target=\"_blank\">legalizing crossbow hunting<\/a> in the state.\u00a0 This is a blatant attempt to get the &#8220;sportsmen&#8221; back on his side.\u00a0 Nevertheless, he got a bunch of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dec.ny.gov\/about\/566.html\" target=\"_blank\">Fudds<\/a> to go along with it and I am waiting for a press release to drop announcing what a great friend the Governor has been to hunters in the state because of it.<\/p>\n<p>Now he wants to a meeting with gun owners.\u00a0 When <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2013\/02\/28\/new-york-gun-control-protest\/1954141\/\" target=\"_blank\">12,000+ gun owners showed up on his doorstep<\/a> last year to protest he didn&#8217;t want to meet with any of them and made sure he was out of town that day.\u00a0 Two weeks ago <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buffalonews.com\/city-region\/politics\/cuomo-no-place-in-new-york-for-extremist-conservative-politicians-20140117\" target=\"_blank\">he said in a radio interview<\/a> that anyone who supports gun rights should leave the state.\u00a0 What has happened in the last few days to change his opinion of gunnies?<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ssb_list_wrapper\"><li class=\"fb2\" style=\"width:135px\"><iframe src=\"\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunpoliticsny.com%2F%3Fp%3D9734&amp;layout=button_count&amp;action=like&amp;show_faces=false&amp;share=true&amp;width=135&amp;height=21&amp;appId=307091639398582\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"border:none; overflow:hidden;  width:150px; height:21px;\" allowTransparency=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/li><li class=\"twtr\" style=\"width:90px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/share\" class=\"twitter-share-button\" data-url=\"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=9734\">&nbsp;<\/a><script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=\/^http:\/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+':\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js';fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document, 'script', 'twitter-wjs');<\/script><\/li><li class=\"gplus\" style=\"width:68px\"><div class=\"g-plusone\" data-size=\"medium\" data-href=\"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=9734\"><\/div><\/li><li class=\"ssb_linkedin\" style=\"width:64px\"><script src=\"\/\/platform.linkedin.com\/in.js\" type=\"text\/javascript\">lang: en_US<\/script><script type=\"IN\/Share\" data-url=\"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=9734\" data-counter=\"right\"><\/script><\/li><\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Post-Standard reports: &#8220;Gov.
