Schumer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The possibility of Senate Majority Leader <a href=\"http:\/\/schumer.senate.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Charles Schumer<\/a> resurfaces again the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/0310\/34042.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Politico<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Democrats are hungry for a hardball strategy against a resurgent Republican Party, and <a href=\"http:\/\/durbin.senate.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin<\/a> is positioning himself as a leading aggressor \u2014 a move that could help him in a potential run for majority leader &#8230; Durbin\u2019s newly pugnacious strategy comes as more congressional insiders are whispering about the possibility of a Durbin vs. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) race for Senate majority leader if Nevada <a href=\"http:\/\/reid.senate.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Sen. Harry Reid<\/a> loses reelection &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Both of Reid&#8217;s potential GOP challengers hold double digit leads over him in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/elections2\/election_2010\/election_2010_senate_elections\/nevada\/election_2010_nevada_senate\" target=\"_blank\">the latest polls<\/a>. \u00a0He&#8217;s in major trouble back home.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; Democrats on and off Capitol Hill are quietly watching Schumer and Durbin for signs of how they would rule the Senate if they have a chance to become majority leader.
