{"id":9301,"date":"2013-11-17T13:23:09","date_gmt":"2013-11-17T18:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=9301"},"modified":"2013-11-17T13:23:09","modified_gmt":"2013-11-17T18:23:09","slug":"new-york-is-open-for-business-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=9301","title":{"rendered":"New York is Open for Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nearly three weeks after sending out <a href=\"http:\/\/readme.readmedia.com\/NYSRPA-asks-if-legislators-are-still-proud-of-their-SAFE-Act-votes\/7445816\" target=\"_blank\">a press release<\/a>, one downstate media outlet finally picked up on the fact that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/new-york\/cuomo-gun-control-laws-targets-gun-makers-article-1.1519707\" target=\"_blank\">SAFE is bad for New York businesses<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Gov. Cuomo\u2019s<\/a> tough new gun law has put a target on the state\u2019s gun makers. \u00a0Cities, counties and states from across the country have been making lucrative pitches to New York\u2019s firearms companies, urging them to relocate.
