Bloomberg-backed<\/a> Terry McAuliffe won Virgina’s governorship<\/a>\u00a0yesterday in a close race. \u00a0Exit polls show poor turnout<\/a> by gun owners despite NRA throwing $500K<\/a> into the race.<\/p>\n

No doubt Bloomberg<\/a> will gloat and McAuliffe will make noise for the next four years, although I suspect in the end the two will accomplish very little in the state other than to embarrass NRA<\/a> at every opportunity. \u00a0I have no sympathy for them. \u00a0NRA has never put money like that into states like New York which have serious problems. \u00a0They couldn’t even be bothered to complete the candidate ratings last year.<\/p>\n
