{"id":8833,"date":"2013-07-28T10:34:46","date_gmt":"2013-07-28T14:34:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=8833"},"modified":"2013-07-28T11:30:13","modified_gmt":"2013-07-28T15:30:13","slug":"protest-on-long-island","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=8833","title":{"rendered":"Protest on Long Island"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There was another protest yesterday on Long Island. \u00a0According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsday.com\/long-island\/suffolk\/gun-rights-advocates-protest-ny-s-gun-laws-at-hauppauge-rally-1.5781671\" target=\"_blank\">Newsday<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Hundreds of local gun-rights advocates lined Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge Saturday to demand the repeal of the state&#8217;s newest sweeping gun regulation. \u00a0The protest, led by a coalition of groups, was one of several rallies to take place on Long Island since <a href=\"http:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Gov. Andrew M.
