{"id":8630,"date":"2013-06-17T09:21:08","date_gmt":"2013-06-17T13:21:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=8630"},"modified":"2013-06-17T09:21:08","modified_gmt":"2013-06-17T13:21:08","slug":"mclaughlin-for-governor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=8630","title":{"rendered":"McLaughlin for Governor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.assembly.state.ny.us\/mem\/Steven-F-McLaughlin\" target=\"_blank\">Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin&#8217;s<\/a> name <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SteveMcLaughlinforNYSgov\" target=\"_blank\">has been floated<\/a> as a possible Republican candidate for Governor for awhile. \u00a0Today Fred Dicker <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/p\/news\/local\/pol_gunning_for_gov_Ft3REngmJWsNyN2GDPwmqJ\" target=\"_blank\">raises the level of rumormongering<\/a> on his possible candidacy:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;An aggressive upstate lawmaker who backs gun rights and Texas-style low taxes and calls <a href=\"http:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Gov.
