{"id":754,"date":"2010-02-02T10:18:51","date_gmt":"2010-02-02T15:18:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=754"},"modified":"2010-02-02T10:18:51","modified_gmt":"2010-02-02T15:18:51","slug":"news-of-the-day-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=754","title":{"rendered":"News of the day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The state GOP has pretty much given up on finding a charismatic, high-quality candidate to be the top of the ticket this fall. \u00a0Instead,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.midhudsonnews.com\/News\/2010\/February\/02\/Lazio_NYGOP-02Feb10.html\" target=\"_blank\"> they&#8217;re going with Rick Lazio<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nrapvf.org\" target=\"_blank\">NRA<\/a> gave <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timesunion.com\/AspStories\/story.asp?storyID=895937&amp;category=REGION\" target=\"_blank\">$1000<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/scottmurphy.house.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Rep.
