Obama won re-election. \u00a0I find this astounding. \u00a0He was dead silent on his signature “achievements”: Obamacare and the porkulus bill. \u00a0The economy tanked, unemployment increased \u00a0and the debt went through the roof. \u00a0He did basically did nothing for the last two years after the Republicans took control of the House<\/a>. \u00a0In spite of this, he won.<\/p>\n

Congresswomen Nan Hayworth<\/a>, Ann Marie Buerkle<\/a> and Kathy Hochul<\/a> all lost. \u00a0Buerkle’s loss is particularly bad given the money Mayor Bloomberg put into her opponent<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Control of the State Senate<\/a> is in question. \u00a0The Republicans managed to fuck themselves<\/a> by losing a couple of seats once held by incumbents who voted for the gay marriage bill. \u00a0This is real bad as the microstamping will likely go to the floor for a vote.<\/p>\n

At the national level, I cannot see any gun control bill going anywhere. \u00a0There just aren’t the votes to move it. \u00a0The main concern, other than a return of stagflation<\/a>, will be possible SCOTUS<\/a> retirements.<\/p>\n
