Two local Democrats who have been friendly towards gun rights voted in favor<\/a> of the Eric Holder contempt resolution<\/a>, Bill Owens<\/a> and Kathy Hochul<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NRA<\/a> announced that they would count the vote<\/a> towards each reps. ratings, but according to the Democrat & Chronicle<\/a> that did not affect Hochul’s decision:<\/p>\n

“… Hochul said the fact that the National Rifle Association<\/a> had made the contempt vote part of its scorecard for lawmakers did not play a role in her decision. She said she had \u201cno idea\u2019\u2019 what her NRA rating is. \u201cI haven\u2019t checked to see if I have been rated,\u2019\u2019 she said …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
