The Brooklyn Daily Eagle reports on MAIG’s<\/a> agenda in their article “\u2018Blueprint\u2019 To Stop Illegal Guns From Entering Brooklyn Revealed<\/a>.” \u00a0Here<\/a> is a copy of the actual plan. \u00a0This quote from Mayor Mike<\/a> is telling:<\/p>\n

“… \u201cEvery day in our county, 32 Americans are killed by gun-wielding criminals \u2014 that\u2019s a Virginia Tech-scale tragedy happening every single day,\u201d said coalition co-chair and New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. \u201cEnacting these 40 recommendations will save lives \u2014 and each can be done administratively, without action by the Congress<\/strong> …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Trying to do an end run around the legislature is a familiar tactic for him, but\u00a0he’s also basically admitting Congress won’t act on his proposals. \u00a0If gun control were really as popular as he says it is<\/a> then he should not be having problems advancing an upfront legislative agenda.<\/p>\n
