{"id":5797,"date":"2012-03-19T09:53:46","date_gmt":"2012-03-19T13:53:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=5797"},"modified":"2012-03-19T10:05:16","modified_gmt":"2012-03-19T14:05:16","slug":"gop-senate-candidates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=5797","title":{"rendered":"GOP Senate candidates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s going to be a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timesunion.com\/local\/article\/Turner-talks-Congress-Senate-race-3412991.php\" target=\"_blank\">3-way Senate primary<\/a> for the Republican nomination with the winner going up against <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gillibrand.senate.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Kirsten Gillibrand<\/a> this fall. \u00a0The candidates are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wendy_E._Long\" target=\"_blank\">Wendy Long<\/a>,\u00a0 attorney and former law clerk for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/supct\/justices\/thomas.bio.html\" target=\"_blank\">SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Nassau Co.
