Here is the press release announcing Governor Cuomo’s<\/a> new “Comprehensive Initiative to Reduce Gun Violence.<\/a>” \u00a0It is significant for what is does and what it does not.<\/p>\n

What it does is waste a bunch of money on vague, touchy-feely “community-based programs”<\/em> along with starting a “state-wide advertising campaign focused on reducing gun violence.”<\/em><\/p>\n

What it does not<\/span> do is call for more gun control laws. \u00a0Michelle Schimel<\/a> has been asking Cuomo to put microstamping legislation in the state budget<\/a>. \u00a0Carolyn McCarthy<\/a> asked him to come out in opposition<\/a> to H.R. 822<\/a>. \u00a0He blew both of them off. \u00a0That is not an insignificant thing. \u00a0NYAGV<\/a> cannot be happy with him.<\/p>\n
