\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/notes\/protest-easy-guns\/new-york-citizens-special-alert-urgent-dangerous-bill-moving-fast-in-congress\/10150424987431495\" target=\"_blank\">Cross-posted<\/a> on Facebook by <a href=\"http:\/\/protesteasyguns.com\" target=\"_blank\">ProtestEasyGuns<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.csgv.org\" target=\"_blank\">Coalition to Stop Gun Violence&#8217;s<\/a> e-mail blast, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/app.e2ma.net\/app2\/campaigns\/archived\/1404253\/cdb0a0fbbd006211a1b911f30cbb0932\/\" target=\"_blank\">Help Stop NRA&#8217;s Dangerous &#8220;National Carry&#8221; Bill Cold in the Senate<\/a>.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They appear to have given up on stopping it in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.house.gov\" target=\"_blank\">House<\/a> and are pinning their hopes on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.senate.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Senate<\/a> again. \u00a0The math is not on their side. \u00a0It only failed last time with 58 votes because <a href=\"http:\/\/schumer.senate.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Chuck Schumer<\/a> promised a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Filibuster\" target=\"_blank\">filibuster<\/a>. \u00a0By my count, the &#8217;10 elections should up that number to 64 supporters which is enough to shut off debate.<\/p>\n<p>10\/19 UPDATE:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ag.ny.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Eric Schneiderman<\/a> sent out a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ag.ny.gov\/media_center\/2011\/oct\/oct19a_11.html\" target=\"_blank\">press release<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ag.ny.gov\/media_center\/2011\/oct\/Carry%20and%20Conceal%20Letter%2010%2019%2011.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">letter<\/a> to Senate leaders.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ssb_list_wrapper\"><li class=\"fb2\" style=\"width:135px\"><iframe src=\"\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunpoliticsny.com%2F%3Fp%3D4775&amp;layout=button_count&amp;action=like&amp;show_faces=false&amp;share=true&amp;width=135&amp;height=21&amp;appId=307091639398582\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"border:none;
