She has discussed the idea with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nygop.org\" target=\"_blank\">Republican<\/a> officials, including state chair Ed Cox, and taken preliminary steps toward mounting a campaign &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Feld is a flaming antigunner. \u00a0She promoted the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.millionmommarch.org\" target=\"_blank\">Million Mom March<\/a> in Westchester back in 2000 and when she ran for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\" target=\"_blank\">State Senate<\/a> last year she made it a point to include a campaign statement that she supports New Yorks gun laws.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; Feld, who is pro-choice and describes herself as a moderate, is seen by many Republicans as one of the party\u2019s most talented prospects &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And that is the problem with the state GOP.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; She won considerable praise within Republican circles last year for mounting a spirited challenge to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/senator\/suzi-oppenheimer\" target=\"_blank\">State Sen. Suzi Oppenheimer<\/a> &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Spirited?
