Andrew Lanza refuses to discuss microstamping legislation (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.assembly.state.ny.us\/leg\/?bn=s675\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-675<\/a>) pending in Albany. \u00a0A group of his constituents, including clergy, law enforcement and victims of gun violence has been trying to meet with Senator Lanza since March &#8230;&#8221; <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Translation: a group of professional politicos and activists have been trying to intimidate him.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; We have called numerous times and sent a formal e-mail. \u00a0We are repeatedly told that the Senator is \u201ctoo busy.\u201d &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Too busy to waste time with you Phil. \u00a0If you can&#8217;t get past the secretary it&#8217;s a sign the politician does not take you very seriously.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; We have offered to travel to Albany to squeeze in a half-hour of his time &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Try staking out 9th floor men&#8217;s rooms in the LOB.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; In the last two years, our group, which is concerned with gun-safety issues, has met with numerous legislators including former <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Michael_McMahon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Congressman Michael McMahon<\/a> and current <a href=\"http:\/\/grimm.house.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Congressman Michael Grimm<\/a>. \u00a0Even they were able to find the time &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yep, Grimm found the time to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=3595\">blow off your request<\/a> he sign onto <a href=\"http:\/\/carolynmccarthy.house.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carolyn McCarthy&#8217;s<\/a> magazine prohibition bill <a href=\"http:\/\/thomas.loc.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HR 308<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; Microstamping is a technology that imprints identifying data on shell casings ejected from semi-automatic weapons. \u00a0Most weapons recovered from crime scenes are semi-automatics. It improves the current state of ballistics-testing &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8230; which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=3733\">has proven to be a total failure<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; and is endorsed by all 62 district attorneys in New York State &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I doubt that.
