{"id":361,"date":"2009-10-28T09:42:01","date_gmt":"2009-10-28T13:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=361"},"modified":"2009-10-28T09:42:01","modified_gmt":"2009-10-28T13:42:01","slug":"all-the-supporters-money-can-buy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=361","title":{"rendered":"All the supporters money can buy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayorsagainstillegalguns.org\" target=\"_blank\">MAIG<\/a> has lost a bunch of supporters after <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nra.org\" target=\"_blank\">NRA<\/a> did a members mailing to their constituents. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/mayor\" target=\"_blank\">Mayor Mike<\/a> isn&#8217;t about to let that challenge go unanswered. \u00a0He&#8217;s going to spread some money around. \u00a0From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/10\/28\/nyregion\/28debate.html\" target=\"_blank\">last nights mayoral debate<\/a> with challenger <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thompson2009.com\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Thompson<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; Thompson had his moments, too. He may have been at his best, and most ardent, when the candidates were asked about &#8230; Mr. Bloomberg\u2019s making, through his accountant, a $26,000 campaign contribution to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corybooker.com\" target=\"_blank\">Mayor Cory A.
