He argued that because those were nonviolent felonies, he should be allowed to own firearms.<\/strong> The court ruled the <a href=\"https:\/\/constitution.congress.gov\/constitution\/amendment-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">Second Amendment<\/a> does not prevent Congress from disarming convicted felons. That decision upholds a lower court ruling. Zherka says he plans to take his case to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Supreme Court<\/a>.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I wish he would not do that.<\/p>\n<p>Case is <em><a href=\"https:\/\/caselaw.findlaw.com\/court\/us-2nd-circuit\/117373998.html\" target=\"_blank\">Zherka v.
